Monday, August 4th: JourneyDance in Arlington
7:00 - 8:00 pm. JourneyDance is a portal to reclaiming your power, feeling what needs to be felt, expressing yourself and dropping into altered states for healing.
This is a free event, offered in the Community Room of the Arlington Library. Facilitated prompts will invite you to move, and get in touch with your body and emotions.

7:30 - 10:00 pm. Regularly every Tuesday. Contact Improvisation is an open-ended exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through contact. Each week has a different facilitator and theme. Sometimes silent, sometime with live music.
Thursday, August 7th: FlowState 5Rhythms with Joel Stanley in Somerville
7:00 - 9:00 pm. Joel is an accredited teacher of 5Rhythms, a form of movement therapy that brings us on a wave through a wave of five different rhythms: flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, and stillness.

7:00 - 9:00 pm. Regularly every Thursday. Contact Improvisation is an open-ended exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through contact. Each week has a different facilitator and theme. Sometimes silent, sometime with live music.
Friday, August 8th: Contact Improv Jam in Cambridge
2:00 - 4:00 pm. Presence and Performance will be hosting an open contact improv jam at the Foundary in Cambridge, starting with a 30 minute meditation before transitioning in an open jam.
Friday, August 8th: Street Block Dance Party in Medford
6:00 - 10:00 pm. Who says resisting fascism can't be fun? A radical housing co-op in West Medford will be throwing an intentional gathering, with a street block dance party, ecstatic dance style! This will be a safe taste of transgressive resistance, with safety marshals, and no worry of arrest. It's a free event, and all are welcome!
Friday, August 8th: Full Moon Dance & Ground in Gloucester
7:00 - 8:30 pm. Set yourself free and dance under the full moon to uplifting conscious music. Meet like-hearted people who value authentic connection and align with the natural rhythms of the moon, body, and seasons. End the night feeling complete, connected and deeply rooted. Facilitated by Osha Rose.
Saturday, August 9th: Arlington Dance Church in Arlington
9:30 am - 12:30 pm. A free outdoors ecstatic dance event, hosted by Speakereasy Collective. Music by DJ Sidreal Ecstatic and special guest. Opening circle will start at 10 am. Rain date will be Sunday, August 10th.
Saturday, August 9th: Soul Dance in Cambridge
2:00 - 3:15 pm. Join us for Soul Dance, a guided improvisational movement practice that engages somatic awareness to facilitate personal growth, emotional well-being, and collective healing. Soul Dance was created by Allison Talis, a somatic therapist, yoga teacher, and trauma specialist with over 25 years of experience in the healing arts. The dance begins gently, followed by a deeper, more visceral exploration, and ends with relaxation. Understanding that the body holds our inherited epigenetic patterns and our present, we work with—and through—the body to release, untangle, and create new pathways towards integration. Soul Dance is an intuitive, non-verbal practice set to music, where you can expect to sweat, although you are always in control of your rhythm and pace.
Sunday, August 10th: Silent Disco on the Shore in Boston
10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Collective Effervescence is back grooving at Carson Beach with you all on August 10th, when a rare six-planet alignment of Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will be visible in the [very early] morning sky. Come celebrate this celestial sync on the beach in community with yoga, silent disco, a brunch potluck.

Friday, August 15th: Vortex Ecstatic Dance in Cambridge
7:00 - 10:00 pm. One of the biggest monthly ecstatic dances in the area. Each Vortex dance begins with a cacao ceremony and warm-up, before flowing into the main dance (with light show), and ending with a guided meditation or soundscape. For the first time, this one will be at the Masonic Hall in Cambridge, near Porter Square.

Saturday, August 23rd: Contact Improv Jam in Arlington
10:00 - 11:30 am. Contact Improvisation is an open-ended exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through contact. This will be the first in a new monthly series of contact improv jams during the weekend in Arlington. There will be a class for 45 minutes, than 45 minutes of open dancing.
Saturday, August 23rd: Vortex Ecstatic Beach Dance in Boston
2:00 - 4:30 pm. One of the biggest monthly ecstatic dances in the area. As a special bonus, this one will be outside on the sand at Constitution Beach Park, with a warmup by Darya and musical journey by DJ Luminous.
Sunday, August 24th: The Crystal in Gloucester
4:00 - 6:00 pm. The Crystal is a contemplative dance practice using Authentic Movement, in which the mover becomes the oracle and the witnesses reflect and refract using silence, sound, movement and automatic writing. A profound experience of vulnerability, intimacy and connection.
Sunday, August 24th: Heart Hive at Night in Jamaica Plain
7:00 - 10:00 pm. At this ecstatic dance, you're not just stepping onto a dance floor—you’re stepping into a multi-sensory playground. Whether you want to dance your heart out, make new friends, or just vibe in a fun, welcoming space, there’s something here for everyone. Social connection and conversations are welcomed on this dance floor! However if you're looking to zone into the music without any conversations, we have silent disco headphones available that you can use to control your own personal volume of the Ecstatic Dance DJ Set.

Whether you’ve felt stuck in “parent mode,” numb from overgiving, or simply disconnected from your spark, this is your invitation to come home to your body—and remember how alive you are. No choreography. No mirrors. No judgment. Just your body, your breath, and a guided two-hour movement experience.
